伯明翰艺术学院：伯明翰艺术学院起源于1843年10月。当时，伯明翰艺术家协会根据政府的有关规定，开设了伯明翰政府设计学院。十年后，学校更名为伯明翰政府装饰艺术学院。

伯明翰商学院：商科是伯明翰城市大学的优势专业之一。

伯明翰珠宝学院：伯明翰珠宝学院最初由伯明翰珠宝和银器协会建立。1888年，位于Ellen大街的学校成为艺术学院的分部。两年后，学院总部在Victoria大街建成，并延用至今。建筑学院于1909年成立，并在1923年和1930年两度获得英国皇家建筑师研究所（RIBA）的承认。现已成为英国主要建筑学院之一。

伯明翰音乐学院：伯明翰音乐学院于1859年成为Birminghamand Midland研究学院的下属学院。并于1886年，正式成为伯明翰音乐学院。1900年Sir Granville Bantock成为首任院长，并担任此职务长达34年。学院位于Paradise Circus的一期建筑于1973年建成开放。伯明翰音乐学院Birmingham Conservatoire是一所国际性音乐殿堂，是英国音乐协会的会员，也是欧洲音乐协会的成员，与伯明翰市立交响乐团等众多音乐机构保持着密切的联系。学院创建于1859年，是英国处于领先地位的音乐学院之一，在独奏表演、作曲、室内乐、管弦乐和爵士乐等方面成就显著。伯明翰音乐学院是伯明翰市各大音乐组织最主要的音乐活动场所，每年都要在这里举办超过300场次的演出，其中不乏像皮埃尔·布列兹，欧拉莫（芬兰广播交响乐团的首席指挥）等世界顶尖指挥家到此演出，天下第一团：柏林爱乐乐团首席指挥西蒙·拉特尔（原伯明翰市立交响乐团首席指挥）就曾在这里完成了其代表录音（与伯明翰市立交响乐团合作的马勒第八交响曲和第五交响曲）。
